A B Associates is an independent consultancy established in 1994. Working for both the public and private sectors in rural and island locations has given our team an unusual blend of knowledge and expertise.

Operating independently, or jointly with other experienced consultants, we provide clients in the UK, Europe and beyond, with confidential, high quality professional advice, analysis and assistance in a range of project areas. These include project appraisal, socio-economic and business development, industry and sectoral analysis, public policy analysis and European affairs.

We offer a range of cost-effective services varying from ongoing support and intelligence on a retained basis to one-off projects, briefing notes and advice, in-house training and event organisation.

Over the years we have built up a close working relationship with a wide range of public agencies including the Highlands and Islands Enterprise network, both Scottish Executive and UK central government departments, local authorities in Scotland and peripheral areas throughout Europe, European Parliament members and support staff, Directorates General of the European Commission, and academic institutions in the UK, Europe and North America.

We are committed to best value and operate quality management systems to ensure that every piece of work we complete meets our rigorous standards. In 1997 we were awarded Investor in People status in recognition of our commitment to training and quality. We operate a policy of strict confidentiality at all times, prior to, during and after completion of any project.
