A B Associates was founded in 1994 by a group of people with a wide range of public and private sector experience, particularly in economic development, town planning, and European affairs and funding.

The company is proud of its history of training graduates in the wide variety of skills needed for the type of work undertaken. Our first graduate recruit is now Senior Consultant and a Director of the company.

The company has been IIP accredited since 1997, and operates a pro-active continuing professional development programme within a structured career path. It is felt that through recruiting, training and retaining graduates specialist skills are nurtured and developed that are not necessarily readily available elsewhere.

Formal and informal links with other established consultants have been firmly developed, and projects have been undertaken on a joint basis with other consultants within the UK, EU and further afield. This supplements the skills base of the company and joint collaboration enhances skills development within the company.

The company’s base is in the UK, and it is currently investigating the possibility of opening a sub-office in Brussels.

There are plans for expansion over the next year with additional staff to be recruited. This move is based on the growing level of demand for the services of the company and longer term succession plans.
